Jennifer Wargo, MD, MMSc, is a surgeon and scientist dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of disease through science. Her fellowship training included two fellowships in surgical oncology with a particular focus on immunotherapy, and her subsequent research focuses especially on melanoma tumorigenesis and immunotherapy for cancer.

Her current research on resistance mechanisms and the effect of targeted therapy and immunotherapy on antitumor immunity continues to lead to a better understanding of responses to these therapies and the development of novel strategies to combat resistance.
